Mrs. Fern Mason DAVISSON, 79, of New Richmond, died at 9:15 a.m. Thursday at Culver Hospital. She had been a patient there for seven weeks. Mrs. Davisson was born Jan 4, 1887 near New Richmond, the daughter of Orlando Wilson Mason and Clara Montgomery Quick Mason. She was married in October 1916 in New Richmond to Morton L. Davisson. He died Feb 25, 1945. Mr. and Mrs. Davisson started housekeeping on a farm in Jackson Township, Tippecanoe County and in 1932 moved to a farm in Coal Creek Township, Montgomery. In 1940 they took up residence in New Richmond. Mrs. Davisson attended New Richmond's schools and was graduated from Crawfordsville HS in 1905. She also attended Texas Christian University and Marion Normal College. The deceased was a great granddaughter of Thomas Mason who served in the Revolutionary War. Mrs. Davisson was an active member of the New Richmond Christian Church. Surviving are three sons, David M. Davisson of Indianapolis; M. Lee Davisson of Danville, Ind and Edwin O. Davisson of Greenwood and one brother, Ewing F. Mason of Mt. Dora, FL. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Edwin, Lee and Paul. - kbz
